Yay. It's time to go to San Francisco again. Or, in a few weeks at least. I'll be there from Nov 16 to Nov 23. I wonder if there's anything going on during that time. Anyone knows?

I am really annoyed at myself, but I couldn't bring myself to go to New Wave City this Saturday. I was just way too tired, which means no birthday celebration for me.
I will do some other things this week though, although it will be a bit restricted because of the conference I am attending. I can almost guarantee I'll be at Death Guild tonight at least.
On Wednesday my wife comes here, and we are going to Emerging Illusions on Thursday. After that it's more in flux. If there's any fun club on Friday or Saturday, I am open for recommendations.
Hope to see some of you at least! =)

I am such a lousy person at updating my LJ. So much things have happened in my life, and I guess people doesn't really know since I haven't posted about it... =)
So that's what I'm doing now.
I am in London right. I have lived here about 11 months, and will stay a month more. After that I go back to Sweden for 6 or 12 months, to help up start a ThoughtWorks office there. After that, I am moving to San Francisco.
My work is going well. I am a bit of a celebrity in the Ruby circles, and my book is doing well.
I got married to Stella a month ago. This was mostly prompted by visa requirements from the US, but it still feels really good.
Well. That is not that much news actually. =)
Oh, right. I am coming to San Francisco on Saturday, and I will stay until the 14th. The first week will be slightly hectic, but I am sure I will have time for some parties.
I am tempted by the Cure thing at New Wave City. Could be a nice way to celebrate my birthday. Is anyone even around nowadays (Niki, I know you aren't... =)
Well, I hope to see some of you in SF. I'm having an interesting life, that's for sure.

Well, I'm actually coming to San Francisco in three days. For a few days of hard work, of course. And I'm going to stay in Pleasenton, CA instead of central SF. But still.
If anyone want to have a beer or seven on Tuesday or Wednesday night, that could be arranged... =)

Wow. I've been REALLY, REALLY bad in writing here. Too much writing in other places I guess - my book has now been published and I've already started on the next one.
Anyway. I'm coming to San Francisco again (this time bringing Stella along). I'll be there at least from the 4th November to the 10th, but hopefully one or two days more. Anything going on that week?

So, one and a half month in London. It's been a tiring but very fun time. I finally feel like I'm settling in here. Of course, that means it's time to travel. I'll be in Portland July 22-28 and New York for 4 days after that. That's going to be nice. I haven't been to NY before. But of course, I won't have time to actually do anything in NY; I'm visiting a client... Oh well.
I have been in london for 7 weeks, but I haven't had time to go party in earnest until now. So tonight we're doing Slimelight (I have to do it at least _once_). And it's very close to where we live; basically crawling distance home. Very neat.

Seems like I'll be going to Death Guild for a while tonight. Since the rest of the week is bound to be quite drastic in amounts of non-time, this is probably all the clubbing I'll do this stay in SF... oh well. better make the most of it, then.

Well, I'm landing on Sunday at SFO. Will be staying for the whole week, and I really _hope_ I'll get time to meet some of you, at least. This year will be quite hectic due to new work and things like book writing, but I'll try to get out clubbing at least one night...
I'll leave on the Saturday, and go the slow car-way to Portland, where I'll stay for another week. And that's the plan. Hope to see you there.

Hi all. Sorry for not posting much lately. My life is hectic. Book writing and all. But it goes well.
And, it's very possible I'll go to Australia to interview for a very nice job there. So I may move to Oz... Isn't that neat?
Travel season is upon us. The things I know I'm going to do is Krakéw, Poland, the 9th and 10th March. I will come back to San Francisco this May. I will definitely be there from May 8th to May 11th, and probably a few days before and after too. After that, me and some friends will drive to Portland, OR, and will be there at least from May 17th to May 20th. Hopefully I'll be able to stay one or two days after that.
If things go well, I may be in Barcelona, Spain in the end of June. That's my travel plans for now.

And now for something completely different. Namely cats and allergy. I'm allergic to cats. But I love cats. So the question is simple. Does Rex cats work well for people like me? Any experience?

long time no post. at least not here. I've been busy posting in my blog and at other places. but there isn't that much to tell, actually. I'm quite happy and trying to improve further. I am Core Developer for JRuby nowadays.
and... the big news: I'm going to write a book for APress about JRuby. imagine that, me, an author? =)

it's been a long time since my last post. I've been very busy at work and home and for some reason I haven't found the time.
we finally met our deadline at work. this thursday we finished, and KIMKAT got accepted to the next step which is acceptance testing. that feels really great and awesome and everything. I've been so tired and we've worked so hard on this. of course, it isn't over yet, but the worst part is now finished.
I've also worked much on JRuby 0.9. we will release it very soon and it will be truly great! I'm proud of what we've accomplished. JRuby is truly ready to use for some enterprise applications now.
and time with Stella, always. everything's great between us. next tuesday it's been two months already! wow.

well, the latest days have been slightly spectacularly busy. I got to Death Guild this monday, which started good, but ended very less than good. SO. I decided that I didn't want to party anymore in SF at all.
BUT. I now feel I have to change my mind. I will do a last appearence in San Francisco, before I leave. this will be tomorrow, and since I really feel like having fun, can't someone decide to have Dark Sparkle tomorrow night? oh well, it's worth a try, I guess.
but anyway. right now I don't know where I want to go. 1984 sounds good in theory, but I've heard it's more or less boring. so, do anyone have any great recommendations where I should go?

yesterday was tough. a long flight - really long - and going away from stella feels bad. then I went out and met most of my friends here, which was very nice.
in retrospect it wasn't that smart to drink as much as I did after the long flight. I got home quite early which was nice.
today I've been walking around haight ashbury shopping, mostly. I've found some marvelous small gifts to stella and sandra. tonight we're going to the stinking rose together. nice.
I haven't made that many plans for tomorrow yet, except that I'm thinking about going to chinatown and try to find some nice white chinese tea.
I recently found out that The Fall plays tomorrow. I will absolutely go, if there's any tickets left!

boy, it's been a busy week. feels like years since I wrote here last time. lets see, what's happened since the last time?
monday: the second New Model Army show. oh GOD I love them. the set was more or less completely new. more than 6 or 7 songs had been replaced, and the order was different. nice! I got to hear Green & Grey live. a minor annoyance is that all the people I know here in Sweden was at the show. I thought that would be fun, but boy was I wrong. swedes CANNOT slam dance. and some of my buddies just crashed the mosh pit again and again. not fun at all.
coming back to stockholm also meant meeting stella. we've been seeing each other constantly the last week.
thuesday was lots and lots of work, and a really disappointing meeting with a study guidance counseler. wednesday was my birthday. it turned out to be the best one I've ever had. I was a golden god at work, and after work I went to another guidance counseler who gave me great news. it seems that it's possible for me to start studying at uni level already january '07!!, and meg's idea about studying in the UK or US turned out to be legit for me too. suddenly I've got lots of options.
after that I went home, met up with stella and we had a beer picnic in my park in the sun. totally lovely.
thursday. nothing interesting to tell. bad day at work, mostly because of hard tasks.
friday. oh boy, another great day. work went lovely and after work I bought myself an electric bass. the guy at the counter made a few mistakes, and I ended up paying about $40 less than the official price. lovely.
saturday was nice but nothing to write about here... =)
today I've finished writing RbYAML, a quite fun project, and open sourced it at http://rbyaml.ologix.com. after that I took my weapons, went out into the park and trained an hour or so. right now I'm working on updating my resume for applying to TW. hard. and soon I'll bleach my hair. and stella will come here.
and that's my life right now.
and friday is SAN FRANCISCO! OH BOY. I've missed it very much and I will greatly enjoy going there again.
